Facilities Manager Calabarzon & Mimaropa - Carmelray Industrial Park 1 Canlubang Calamba City
Responsibilities:
SUMMARY
Provides leadership and technical direction to the facilities Department, which is responsible for all site equipment/systems such as but not limited to; HVAC, boilers, chillers, PCW, PVAC, electrical distribution, LSS, CDA, UPS, RODI, and environmental control systems. Manage projects to budget and schedule constraints, performance indicators, strategic objectives, project management, general personnel management, teambuilding, management presentations, inter and intra team project assignments and other duties personally or through subordinate employees. Also oversees and ensures regulatory compliance for local and federal environmental and safety requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Other duties may be assigned. Oversees all aspects of facilities operations, construction, and maintenance on site. Responsible for the performance, evaluation and expectations of subordinate exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Reviews performance indicators, attends passdowns, technical team, engineering, and project meetings.
- Maintains compliance with ISO 14001 quality specs and procedures.
- Adheres to property and building Insurance requirements.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of all business performance indicators relative to the facilities department.
- Guides and directs the financial responsibilities of the department which includes but is not limited to; financial performance indicators, inter/intra tactical and strategic planning sessions, contract negotiations, vendor/supplier performance evaluations, and project cost tracking.
- Develops and delivers professional written and oral presentations.
- Directs site shutdown activities and participates as a key member of the emergency respponse/disaster recovery management team.
- Represents the company in a variety of external settings including but not limited to VEndor/Supplier business review meetings, city/government planning meetings, technical association meetings, seminars, contract negotiations, and construction/project meetings.
- Establish a customer relationship with manufacturing, finance, HR, purchasing, marketing, and engineering in order to support their needs.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of office mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Project
- Working knowledge og HVAC boilers, chillers, environmental control systems, electrical distribution systems, LSS, RODI systems, and CDA systems.
- Physics, mathematics, electronics, and overall engineering knowledge necessary to sustain, troubleshhot, modify, and improve building systems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in engineering and work related experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientofic and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complainst from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business/technical community.
- Ability to write correspondence, speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
- Ability to apply mathematical oparations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Ability to define problems/issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Excellent communication skills to interface internally and externally with all levels of an organization and to participate in problem solving/quality improvement activities. Ability to lead, motivate, encourage and manage.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages subordinate supervisors in the Facilities Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning,a nd directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addresiing complaints and resolving problems.
